Cool effects but not sure I want to harm my beloved kit to duplicate them

The only thing worse is buying a camera that is broken
I got a Kodak z612 online and from day one there was a problem with the top left of the lens always darker than the rest of the photo. Worst of all were landscape shots with a lot of blue sky as this really would spoil them
