In a similar vein to the flickr toys that we love so much comes zingfu. The twist is most of the gimmicks they offer take the form of your picture with a celebrity/magazine cover/in a scenario/etc.

Fun stuff to waste 10mins humiliating your friends in your lunch break!

Light Painting Project

John has just let me know that DPBlogs Project for August is “Light Painting”.

A definition: “Light painting is a technique in which light sources are projected or “painted” in selective areas during the camera exposure. All work is done in camera, no computer manipulation occurs. Exposures can range from 20 seconds upwards to an entire evening to achieve.”

Damian and I had a go at this last year and it is a lot of fun. Hop over to the project page for more info on how to take part.

A camera designed for throwing?

Satugo the worlds first Bouncing ball camera

Imagine combining your love for bouncing balls and your obsession for taking pictures into one, now it has a name Satugo. Simply Throw Satugo into the motive to catch the moment, where it hits you get a picture, or take air photos by activating the timer before throwing the satugo.

Satugo stands for See Aim Throw CaptUre and GO. I take it “motive” is their way of saying “subject” (victim?).

How bizarre is that? Does look fun though. If anyone finds any pictures taken with it when it becomes available here please let me know!

5 megapixel camera phone!?

Oh .. my .. God. A 5 megapixel camera phone!

NOT ONLY THAT but it has optical zoom AND ISO control!

Samsung introduced its five megapixel SPH-V7800 camera phone that includes a 3X optical zoom, 4x digital zoom, auto focus, flash, white balance and ISO controls (see below), according to Telecoms Korea.

The ISO can be adjusted from 50 to 800.

I think we just found my next phone people!
