Recharge USB Devices Even In Cattle Class

Up on first class or business class you get provided proper power outlets but back in the cheap seats we have no such luxuries. If you are anything like me you will have several divices that all need powering. Enter a cord that draws power from the headphone jack!

Inflight Power Recharger Cables

Inflight Power has developed the unique charging cable for use in the typical passenger aircraft, bus or train seat. The Inflight Power cable is designed to recharge existing low power consumer electronic devices such as: Cell Phones, Smart Phones, PDAs, Music Players, Game Players

Should be just the thing to top up the old picture storage unit, external drive, iPod, camera phone or a compact camera. Just a shame that it will not power a laptop.

I hear about this on Geekbrief.
Sound like its a quite slow charge, due to the low voltage. I’m not sure how good that would be, i mean i’ve got a battery pack for charging the IPOD and it takes ages. Maybe if you get 2 , i wonder if it would charge faster :) .

Hah, I can just imagine you with a rig consisting of ten of these all wired up into a three pin plug adapter like something off mythbusters
