Sunsets are a cliche, yes, but not when they are snapped … on Mars …

/Film has an article on some clever reality-Star Wars mashup photographs that look really cool, in an extremely geeky way!

French photographer Cedric Delsaux has created a series of photos where he puts Star Wars characters and vehicles and transplants them into modern day urban locations.

I quite like the idea of Jabba and Mr Fett stalking around abandoned warehouses and concrete car parks. Great concept and nicely implemented.

See Cedric’s full collection at his official website.

Natures Best Photography 2007 Award Winners - AOL Pictures
Nature has posted up their choice of photography from 2007, and they have some excellent examples to be sure.

There are some excellent images, just a shame they are using flash navigation or we could link to them more easily.

As well as being featured in the magazine there will also be a display at the Smithsonians’s Natural History Museum in Washington DC USA.

Check out the Winners here.

Just to prove that while the camera might not lie, people do, Photoreneur has compiled The World’s Most Famous Photoshop Fakes. Also check out this collection of magazine cover fakery.

Why do people keep doing these fakes? Because while we can all name famous fakes that have been caught, many many more get away with it every single day. You know what they say; “fake it till you make it”!

If you are a fan of breaking the rules, sticking it to the man and all things forbidden you will love the idea behind Strictly No Photography - a photo-sharing site for photographs of things and places that are not allowed to be photographed.

From the inside of the Kremlin to Kensington palace, from art galleries to war zones. Here you can see everything you’ve ever wanted to see that you’re not supposed to. There are pictures that range from the ordinary to the profound. Whatever the content or the quality though we think that each one stands as a little piece of art in itself, as a little expression of personal liberty.

Check it out, just make sure big brother isn’t watching ;)

Want to know what happens when a camera breaks just enough to cause freaky effects? Check out this Flickr collection.

No cameras were intentionally harmed to create these pictures and apparently they are untreated, direct from the camera.

Cool effects but not sure I want to harm my beloved kit to duplicate them ;)
