I just stumbled upon these fascinating light painting photographs. You have to check them out, it makes me want to have another go at the technique.

Using a tripod, long exposures, and various light sources (sparklers, Christmas lights wrapped around a hula hoop, etc.), Eric Staller created these beautiful light drawings in New York City during the late 70’s.

Life and work have been getting in the way of me picking up my camera lately but I still like to check out what other people are creating.

My latest addition to the “inspiration” category in my bookmarks is Photografr.com.

Apparently Chris Nixon started out covering Flickr and Zooomr in his other blogs and has combined them to form this new one. I wasn’t a follower of his older blogs but this new one looks like it will be really good.

I submitted my first ever stock photography uploads today. If you are following my new blog at Crestock you will see what happens next soon, I don’t want to spoil the surprise. This post is about the discussions and observations from my research into the topic of “stock photo site approvals” – I didn’t know something seemingly straight forward could be so controversial!

It seems from discussions and what I see in forums, a lot of people take this process personally.

OK, I am no masochist, I don’t like criticism or rejection either. But really, we have to keep in mind this isn’t art, it’s business. Rather than getting upset I am trying to treat it as a learning process.

If the quality control bar is set high then when we do get approved we can rejoice that we made the grade

Saturday 26th to Sunday 27th may at Rufford abbey Nottingham England, there is a medieval weekend. If its anything like lasts years living history weekend this should be great. This year each different era seems to have its own week end. Well it was kind of sureal seeing a Falklands Marine talk to a Roman Centurion.

Medieval, now what’s that? I’m not sure what they look like, i think this maybe from lasts years medieval demonstration.

Other Living history weekends for different eras are planet for later in the year.
