Canon 1000D Entry Level DSLR

Canon 1000D / XS is here, no rumors! Canon has announced their new entry-level budget DSLR and what a beast it is.

  • 10mp
  • Cleaning system
  • 3fps
  • 7 point AF
  • 2.5″ LCD with Live View
  • SD card slot

That’s a pretty good bundle for the entry model I am sure you will agree. No news on UK price but expect it to be less than the current 450D and competitive with the Nikon and Sony offerings.

    How does this stack up against the Rebel Xsi?

    The 450D/XSi is 12mp and slightly faster at 3.5fps, but price will be main difference

    How do you think this will compare with the 400D as I’m looking to buy an entry level Canon. I was going for the 400D but now I’m wondering if this should be a contender?

    I think the choice will be against the 450D, unless you can get a really good price. Having said that, I am still very happy with my 350D so see what kind of deal you can get and I am sure you will be happy :)
